Africa AI Literacy Initiative is building the skills, confidence, and agency Africans need to thrive in an AI-powered world aiming to democratize foundational AI and its applications to  African communities. This program equips them with practical AI knowledge grounded in local realities to meaningfully engage with AI in their work and daily lives.  

Through hands-on learning, ethical awareness, and community-driven innovation, we are shaping an inclusive African AI future that works for people, livelihoods, and society.

Why Africa AI Literacy

To culture Africa AI talent and grow local communities from being passive technology consumers to active creators, problem-solvers, and income earners.

AI Curriculum in African Languages

Develop and deliver contextualized AI learning materials in at least 15 widely spoken African languages using AI language models.

Promoting Responsible AI

Support collaboration on Africa-specific AI challenges and inspire national initiatives to promote responsible AI, contributing to Africa’s AI strategies and readiness.

AI Literacy & Capacity Building

Create local AI communities and provide structured educational resources to enhance AI and Machine Learning skills across Africa.

Real-World Impact & Awareness
